Delete Account & Data

MakeStatus is committed to giving you full control over your data. This page explains how to delete your personal information from the app.

Important Information

Note: MakeStatus does not require user accounts or registration. All your personal data (name and photo) is stored locally on your device only and is never uploaded to our servers.

How to Delete Your Data

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it using any of the following methods:

Method 1: Delete from Within the App

Open the MakeStatus app on your device
Go to Profile or Settings
Look for options to clear your name and photo
Tap on Clear Data or Remove Profile Information
Confirm the deletion

Method 2: Clear App Data (Android)

Go to your device Settings
Tap on Apps or Application Manager
Find and select MakeStatus
Tap on Storage
Tap Clear Data or Clear Storage
Confirm the action

Method 3: Uninstall the App

Long-press the MakeStatus app icon on your device
Select Uninstall or drag to Uninstall
Confirm the uninstallation

This will permanently remove all locally stored data including your name, photo, and app preferences.

What Gets Deleted?

When you delete your data using any of the above methods, the following information is removed:

Your name (if added)
Your profile photo (if uploaded)
App preferences and settings
Downloaded template cache
All locally stored data

What About Analytics Data?

MakeStatus collects anonymous analytics data to improve the app. This data:

Is completely anonymized and cannot be linked to you personally
Does not include any personal information (name, photo, or identifying details)
Cannot be deleted individually as it's not tied to any user account
Is automatically deleted after 24 months

Verification

To verify that your data has been deleted:

Reinstall the app - you should not see any previously saved name or photo
All settings should be reset to default

Data Retention

After deletion:

Local Data: Immediately and permanently removed from your device
Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics remain for up to 24 months for app improvement purposes
Backup: We do not maintain backups of user data as nothing is stored on our servers

Re-using the App

If you reinstall MakeStatus after deleting your data:

You can start fresh with no previous data
You can add new name and photo if you choose
Previous deletion does not affect future app usage
